The Health Care Issue Committee is
embarking on an exciting new topic: health care reform. This
is a rather daunting undertaking and we are encouraging any
members who are interested in this endeavor to join the committee
now.
Over the next few months, we will
be hearing from key individuals in the community who have been
involved in health care reform initiatives. This initial effort
will assist us in
determining how to proceed with ongoing research and
direction within the committee.

Health Care Reform ‘Meet-Up/
Sign-Up’ to be Held June 28
Are you concerned about the state of our health care system,
but aren't sure what can be done about it? Does it seem like
the problems facing the system are too great for any one person
or organization to change? Then don’t miss City Club’s
“Health Care Reform Meet-Up/Sign-Up” from 5:30 to
7:30 p.m. Wed., June 28, at City Club Commons (901 SW Washington
St.). City Club’s New Leaders Council and Health Care
Issue Committe are hosting several organizations advocating
for health care reform. Meet their representatives, learn more
about what they do and, if persuaded by what you learn, sign
up to help build a better system. This event is free and open
