It's this summer's easiest way to serve the community while drinking a beer: NLC's Summer Mix n' Serve.
Held at the Community Warehouse - which supplies vulnerable populations with home goods - guests bring one household item to donate at the entrance. Participants will then grab a beer and hang out with young adults from City Club and other community organizations.
After settling in, guests will receive a tour of the community warehouse, and will also have a chance to learn about each of the participating organizations. There will also be plenty of time to meet one another, hang out and share stories and ideas. People will also be able to purchase items in the Community Warehouse estate store.
Confirmed partners include Sisters of the Road, Bradley Angle House, EMERGE (Portland Business Alliance), Friends of the Children, P:ear, and World Affairs Council Young Professionals.
