Oregon's Public Employees Retirement System Research Committee

This comprehensive research study is currently in progress.  The study committee's objectives will include the following: (1) providing a brief summary of PERS history, governance, pension plans and related financial arrangements; (2) summarizing the latest available projections of employer costs by the system's actuarial consultant; (3) reviewing options that might significantly enhance the system's sustainability; and (4) preparing useful recommendations for legislative and administrative action.
