Join City Club for a tour of the Food Innovation Center, Portland’s premier collaborative facility for food product development,food marketing and the general advancement of Northwest foods and agriculture.
Find out how the FIC provides services to culinary entrepreneurs in the community, while learning about the development of both retail and restaurant food products. Participants will:
- tour the development kitchens
- learn about the testing of storage and packaging technology
- see the consumer testing and research center
- find out about research in RFID inventory systems
Join us and find out how you can volunteer as a sensory tester. You may even find yourself getting the first taste of a new ice cream flavor from the likes of Salt & Straw. Optional Happy Hour at Davis Street Tavern following the tour.
