The November 5th election is just around the corner, and City Club of Portland is here to help you get informed on the local candidates, key issues, and how to vote in Portland’s new system. Whether it’s understanding ranked choice voting or getting to know the candidates and their platforms, we’ve got you covered with all the resources you need to make an informed decision.
Our comprehensive election coverage includes:
Candidate Forums
This season, we hosted four forums featuring candidates for Multnomah County District 1, Multnomah County District 2, Portland Mayor, and Oregon Attorney General. All are available to watch at your convenience on our YouTube channel.
Candidate Survey
We asked candidates for Portland City Council about a range of community priorities, covering topics from the built environment to the arts. This nonpartisan resource offers voters valuable information to help compare among a large field of candidates.
Ranked Choice Voting Education
To help you understand how ranked choice voting works in Portland for electing 12 councilors, the mayor, and the auditor, we hosted an educational workshop that is now available to watch online.
In addition, we published a nonpartisan report on Oregon Measure 117, which would introduce ranked choice voting statewide.
