City Club of Portland’s Program Committee presents Multnomah County District Attorney Nathan Vasquez in conversation with Ken Boddie, News Anchor and Political Director for KOIN-TV.

Join us to learn more about District Attorney Vasquez’s priorities, including reducing gun violence, centering victims of crime, and building trust and transparency in the public safety system. How does his office continue advancing these long-term goals while responding to emergent situations, such as the surge in cases stemming from mass demonstration events outside the federal ICE facility in SW Portland?

The program will also address how District Attorney Vasquez is handling the rise in arrests of people experiencing homelessness and substance use issues following recent changes to state drug possession laws and city camping ban enforcement.

So many issues intersect with the DA’s office, and we’ll aim to cover as much as possible in this one-hour program. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the conversation by submitting a suggested question for the moderator when you register.
