About the Event

Join us for a panel discussion with witnesses interviewed for the City Club report Ross Island: An Urgent Call to Action, moderated by Oregon Journalism Project reporter Nigel Jaquiss. You’ll hear from representatives of the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission, Human Access Project, Oregon Division of State Lands, and Urban Greenspaces Institute, who will discuss many of the most pressing issues identified in the report, including the impacts of toxic algae blooms and the costs of reclamation, whether Ross Island can play a role in a Portland Harbor cleanup, and the importance of Tribal engagement in the future of the Willamette River.
