About the Event
Are you looking for your civic home in Portland? Come grab a drink, learn something new, and connect with a network of young leaders engaged in local issues.
City Club’s New Leaders Council hosts a monthly happy hour for 20-, 30-, and 40-somethings who want to get more involved in civic life. Whether you have years of experience under your belt or are just getting started, each gathering brings new perspectives, new people, new connections, or something new to learn that supports your leadership development.
Walking into a room full of strangers can feel daunting, so we combine informal mingling with a facilitated activity, conversation, Q&A, or presentation. This month, City Club member Sid Davis, a registered nurse providing health care at the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Center, will lead a discussion on incarceration through the lens of correctional health, where questions of care, justice, and humanity come together.
