In 2024, Portlanders made history by electing their first 12-member City Council across 4 multimember districts with three representatives each.

In early 2026, City Club organized a four-part interview series to check in with the Councilors just after they completed their first full year of service under the new form of government, elected a new Council President and Vice President, and began working with the first permanent City Administrator. Moderated by Sophie Peel of Willamette Week, these panels offer a candid look at the challenges, successes, and the road ahead for our city.
